On the far side of the market, the distant castle stands as a stark contrast to their reality, its grandeur a reminder of the world that has cast them aside. Yet, in the face of exclusion, they find freedom – the freedom to be who they are, without the burden of the crown shaping their fate. This place isn’t exactly the picture of happiness, it’s pretty gloomy and everyone there is doing their best just to make it through each day.
Join Aine, along with her sister Ellie, are among those trying to scrape by in this unforgiving place. Their life is far from easy, but they have each other, and that’s what counts.
Out of nowhere, these terrifying creatures known as the Slaugh, launch an attack on the unsuspecting folks. In between all the panic and confusion, Aine’s mother does everything she can to shield her daughter, but in the chaos, they’re torn apart.
Now, imagine Aine, alone and frightened, with these menacing Slaugh hot on her heels. Despite being injured and overwhelmed by fear, Aine’s spirit doesn’t break. She dashes through Findias’s shadowy alleys, her heart pounding, vowing to herself that she will not let this be the end of her story.
